As a musician and composer belonging to the young generation of Iranian music, he created unique works by combining different styles of world music with traditional Iranian music. he uses traditional Iranian instruments such as tar, setar, and santoor, and his works include combinations of Iranian music, electronics, and other world music styles.

Mohammad Darabifar has participated in several film projects, including Derb (the main prize winner of Busan Film Festival, South Korea) and Derno directed by Hadi Mohaghegh, and many short and feature films as a composer.
